Get to Know Me

WHERE I’M FROM

I was born in Islamabad, Pakistan. At the tender age of six, my family relocated to New York, embarking on a series of relocations across the United States. I've called 13 different places "home" in the past 23 years, an adventure I wouldn't trade for the world. For me, the concept of home isn't tethered to a specific location but rather to the people who reside within it. My family is my anchor, and whenever I'm with them, I’m home.

WHAT INSPIRED ME

From an early age, I've been captivated by the world of art, a passion instilled in me by my mom who encouraged hands-on creativity, from sewing costumes to crafting pottery. As I embarked on my college journey, I chose to study Cognitive Science, delving into the intricate workings of the human mind and behavior. It was during this time that I was introduced to the the realm of UX design. I discovered the magical intersection of creativity, technology, and psychology. For me, design means solving real-world problems and leaving a lasting impact. This realization ignited a profound love for the discipline and continues to inspire my journey in the field.

WHAT I DO NOW

Since graduating UC Berkeley a year ago, I have been working on several freelance projects - some independent, and others through design agencies. I am currently on the hunt for my first full-time product design role. I am ambitious, determined, and excited to get my career journey started.
